True stories from the Mountain of the Moon
In January 2018, while walking with his Brother in the pine forest near the Convento Dos Capuchos, on the Mountain of the Moon in Sintra, Portugal, a young wizard had a vision.
His vision split between the current day and a older, more ancient reality.
His Right Eye saw his body in the current time, wearing a modern t-shirt and brown jeans, bright blue running shoes, light skin, and the long hair of a modern, young man’s body.
His Left Eye saw the body of an old monk dressed in brown, woolen robes. He was wearing sandals made of rope and leather, and his hands were wrinkled and brown from countless hours digging in the garden.
The young wizard took a few steps while having the vision, before he stopped to stare at his hands, one old, and one young.
He then stood between times for a few moments, and knew that he was in both times, simultaneously.
The old monk was having the experience of witnessing the Future, and the young wizard was having the experience of witnessing the Past.
He knew that he was that monk, and that monk knew he was the young wizard.
“The soul of that old monk is my soul, and my soul is the soul of the old monk,” thought the young wizard to himself.
The sunrays were passing through the pine trees at a sideways angle, and he could feel the warmth and light of the sun on both sides of his face.
The right side felt young and new, while the left side felt old and weathered.
The experiences of both lifetimes overlapped for a few moments, and a great peace was felt in the heart of both the old monk and the young man, as it was one Heart experiencing one great Peace.
In that moment, with the light of the sun on his face, the old monk felt the promise of the miracle of a future rebirth, and the young man felt the understanding of lifetimes of experience leading him to the present moment.
Both the eyes of the old monk and the eyes of the young wizard closed to hold a silent prayer of thanks to the One Infinite God inside the inner temple of their mind.
They both felt the Love of the Almighty One in that moment, and both of them smiled, and felt at peace.
Suddenly, with eyes closed, the vision ended and the young wizard was fully in his current time.
He opened his eyes and looked at his body, no longer split in two, and then gazed at his Brother, who smiled at him.
They continued walking in the pine forest, and the light beams guided them on their path.

In March 2020, a young wizard and his Brother walked in the forest on the Mountain of the Moon, and had a strange encounter with a Spirit.
The young wizard and his Brother were trying to get fresh air and exercise before potentially being quarantined in the hostel they were living in at the time.
There was a pandemic of Coronavirus in those times, and the situation was quickly escalating beyond anyone’s predictions.
They knew that they had to go on their walk in the forest that day, just in case the Portuguese government imposed stricter rules for leaving the house in the days to come.
The sky was covered in a thin veil of wispy clouds, and the sun was barely shining on Sintra.
The young wizard and his Brother brought bananas, almonds, and fresh spring water with them for a trail lunch.
They set out in the morning, and while walking through the city center, encountered the employees of a local café standing in a circle, wearing paper, surgical masks and rubber latex gloves.
The employees were speaking loudly and excitedly in Portuguese, exclaiming their confusion and anger at the government regulations being imposed to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus.
They all gave sharp looks to the brothers as they walked through the circle of conversation.
The young wizard’s brother showed him an old, stone archway with symbols of the Moon, faces, dragons, Bird-people, and the year ‘1533’ carved into it.

The young wizard had walked by the old stone archway many times without looking closely at it, and was very impressed by the old masons’ handiwork.

The brothers walked past the Quinta da Regaleira, silent and empty due to the government-imposed closures of the public parks.
The Quinta Da Regaleira was usually very busy with tourists in those times, and the emptiness and lack of crowds produced an odd atmosphere.
It was quiet and peaceful, and the brothers heard birds singing.

The Brothers walked on the dirt trail behind the Quinta Da Regaleira, called the Rampa da Pena.
They were in heated discussion, and were trying to predict what the future would hold for the World during the Coronavirus outbreak.
The road on which they walked was usually packed with tourist buses, cars, and tuk-tuks, but on that day, there was only one car with a young family inside that passed them.
When they arrived at the top of the Mountain, they walked past the gates of the Castle of the Moors, and later, past the gates of the Palace of Pena.
Usually packed with people, the empty tourist attractions had an atmosphere of peace and serenity, albeit, with a hint of spookiness.
The Brothers continued to walk in the forest, until they arrived at a trail that was marked with orange spray-paint arrows.
They followed the trail, and it led them to a small stone building.
The building was falling apart, and had a broken glass window with iron bars over it.
The metal door to the building was locked tight, and had spider webs in its’ corners.
There was a pile of massive granite boulders ten meters from the building, and a small pool of fetid water sat in a fountain near the entrance to the small ruin.
There was evidence of dark magic rituals being performed at the site.
A magik sigil made with red spray-paint was visible, and around the corner, “666” was spray-painted on a different stonewall with black paint.
A stone table was split in half and had tumbled downhill from its prior position.
The young wizard decided to have lunch after exploring for a bit.
The wizard and his Brother sat down to have almonds and bananas at the top of the site, near the Red magik sigil.
They were conversing and philosophizing, when the young wizard’s brother suddenly looked pale and uneasy.
Strange noises in the Forest, and the sounds of things falling from the trees quickly surrounded the young wizard and his Brother.
The young wizard’s brother told him that he thought they should leave the strange ruins.
The young wizard insisted on eating another banana, as he was quite hungry.
It was at this moment, that the young wizard and his brother suddenly felt the presence of a spirit approaching them from downhill.
The young wizard’s brother then insisted that they should both leave the site as quickly as possible, as he felt intuitively that the Spirit approaching them was a dark and sinister character.
In less than a moment, the young wizard packed up his lunch and spring water, and the brothers quickly walked back the way they had come.
After hiking uphill for a few moments, and ducking under a fallen tree that crossed their path, they both felt that they had crossed the energy-barrier of the ruined site.
They continued to walk, very quickly, back to the road from which they came.
Thankfully, they avoided contact with the sinister Spirit, and were quite grateful.
As they walked down the Mountain, the young wizard and his brother talked about Dragons, and possible explanations for their great history and mythology.
The young wizard’s Brother was very wise, and had much insight to the spiritual nature of Dragons.

They stopped at the Sacred Fountain to fill their water bottles, and later returned to their hostel- home.
