Mountain of the Moon- Energy Vortex of Portugal

Mountain of the Moon – Energy Vortex

Sintra, Portugal is known to many across the world as a beautiful place to spend their summertime holiday.

There are many reasons why people come from all over the world to Sintra- some come for the sunny beaches, others come to visit the Old Castle of the Moors- built in the 12th century by Moorish people who came from North Africa.

Another large draw to the area is Pena Palace- one of the homes of the Portuguese royal family. The palace is painted in many pastel colors, although pink and yellow are predominant.

The architecture is playful and fairytale-like, as per the orders of the king Don Fernando II, it’s chief designer.

Still others are drawn here for the unique forest and natural ecology. The forest is different than the surrounding area because of the moist micro-climate.

The forest receives a lot of water from moisture blowing in from the sea.

In ancient times, the Sintra forest was especially abundant with fruit, nuts, and animals for hunting. Many generations of people hunted and gathered in Sintra for many thousands of years.

The forest was so abundant that it earned the reputation of being the home of the goddess of the forest and the hunt.

In Roman times, she was called Diana, or Cynthia, and statues of her can still be found around town to this day.

There are a handful of monasteries, convents, Nunneries, and other sacred retreat sites on the mountain. The Convent dos Capuchos is a particularly well-designed spiritual retreat, as the buildings on the property are all designed to be one with Nature. The stone and cork walls are thoughtfully tucked between Boulders and caves, and allow for Plants and natural Sunlight to be present in most of the rooms.

The monks that used to live there were followers of St. Francis of Assissi, who taught that Divinity and Holiness could be found and experienced in the natural world.

The baths at the Chapel of Saint Eufemia were fed from natural Springs. These baths were known as healing waters, and many sick and diseased people would go there to be relieved of their ailment.

Interestingly enough, the City of Sintra is renovating the old bathhouse, and is planning to make the healing waters available to the public again in the near future.

Obviously there are more than a few good reasons to come to Sintra.

Alas, there is a subtle feeling of calm and well being that permeates the community in Sintra.

In general, people tend to feel very good when they are in Sintra.

Travelers who have spent time in busy cities often report feeling calmer, happier, and less in a hurry when they arrive in town.

The feeling of comfort and well-being is a phenomena that is known as fact to those who have stayed in the area.

This positive energy is a palpable force on and around the Mountain of the Moon.

Many people report feeling “drawn” to the area as if magnetically attracted. Often, it is their intuition or a hunch that they feel as if they should go to Sintra.

The author of this article was indeed, drawn to the Mountain himself, as if invisible forces were pulling him towards the mountain.

The monks of old and the royalty of Europe also may have felt this magnetic attraction to the area.

So what is this attractive, positive force that permeates the air in Sintra?

The author believes that there is a concentration of positively charged, Geo-magnetic (Electrical) fields radiating out of the Earth through the Mountain of the Moon.

This Geo-magnetic concentration can also be called an energy vortex.

The phenomena of energy vortexes, i.e. feeling good, feeling magnetically attracted ,  very healthy ecosystems, holy people making residence,  can be found in multiple sites across the globe. A few examples are the Giza plateau, Sedona, Arizona, and Jerusalem.

These positively-charged electrical fields are natural phenomena, and occur all over the Earth, on every continent.

However, they are only found in a few areas, as most places on the Earth are Negatively charged.

The Earth is always trying to maintain a zero-charge in it’s Geo-magnetic field, and as such, there is a constant stream of charged particles flowing between the ground and the upper atmosphere.

Most places, the charged particles are streaming from the atmosphere to the ground.

In Energy Vortexes, the flow of charged particles tends to move from the ground to the atmosphere. This is not true for all energy vortexes.

Human bodies are electrical, or energetic, by design.

Our nervous and muscular systems are reliant on electrical pulses to function.

Humans bodies are effected by the background electrical charge of the environment in which they find themselves.

The principal of energetic resonance is that if one thing is vibrating at a certain frequency and it comes in contact with another thing, that thing will begin to vibrate at the same frequency.

This principle can be applied to the idea that people begin to resonate with the subtle, electrical “vibration” emanating from the ground, and therefore their personal “vibration” is altered from what it was before arriving in the energy vortex.

The vibration of a positively charged environment produces the feelings of well-being, calm, and health.
